The pond appears a peaceful place,
But listen to that chatter!
The coot, a heron, morehen too,
There's always so much natter!
 
And manderins , a gorgeous pair,
A picture of love and beauty.
But despite their delicate look,
They're always just as noisy!
 
But if we look beyond the birds
You'll hear the pond talks too,
There's bubbles, ripples, drips and Splashes
A breeze comes passing through. 
 
The bugs they buzz, there's random glugs,
The wind lets out a whisper.
And gives away the pond's secrets 
For any lucky listener.
 
Lovely chunk of driftwood, with tactile smooth edges and intruging tendrels shaped by a life at sea! Now cleaned, sealed and housing a selection of  little handmade clay birds.
 
The birds include two mandarin ducks, a coot, heron and morehen, all sat in a bed of resin with faux pond weed. Finished with miniature flora and forna. 
 
Whilst this might be utterly exciting to children it sadly is not a toy and is intended solely as a decorative ornament for adults! (who lets be honest, will be as excited as a child to own such a thing of beauty!!).....just to add, this item is not for eating!
 
Beautifully hand crafted pond birds adorning a stunning piece of driftwood, which has been lovingly carved, cleaned and sealed, ready to occupy your new favourite view point.
 
This item is a complete one of a kind, that can never be replicated because the design is fully dictated by the wood, which is a wholly natural product, chiselled by a life at sea. This, I find, adds a beautiful element to every piece, as each has had a life prior to it becoming part of my work, and their form, shaped by their journey enhances each creation.
 
Just to add, we are not able to identify the type of wood further than to say it is drift wood found on a UK beach.
