Down along the dock yard,
The pigeons are a gatherin'.
Passing up the time o' day,
There's plenty of them chatterin'
 
But when the dockers spill some seed,
Then they all go clamorin'
All a flap to get their first
It's looking most unflatterin'
 
Undetered with how's they look,
They each just keep's on clatterin'
But when they hear that fog horn blow,
Off they go a scatterin'
 
Lovely smooth piece of driftwood shaped by a life at sea! Now cleaned, sealed and housing a collection of  little handmade clay birds.
 
The birds include ten rock pigeons, all ever so slightly different. Finished with some old broken railings and miniature flora and forna. 
 
Whilst this might be utterly exciting to children it sadly is not a toy and is intended solely as a decorative ornament for adults! (who lets be honest, will be as excited as a child to own such a thing of beauty!!).....just to add, this item is not for eating!

This item is a complete one of a kind, that can never be replicated because the design is fully dictated by the wood, which is a wholly natural product, chiselled by a life at sea. This, I find, adds a beautiful element to every piece, as each has had a life prior to it becoming part of my work, and their form, shaped by their journey enhances each creation.
 
Just to add, we are not able to identify the type of wood further than to say it is drift wood found on a UK beach.
